Questions before you book?
ULTRA, also known as LaseMD Ultra, uses a 1927 nm thulium laser for non-ablative fractional resurfacing. CO₂ resurfacing is ablative and removes treated surface tissue. They differ in treatment depth, recovery and risks; the choice depends on your concern and skin.
Warmth or prickling can occur; numbing may be discussed. Redness, dryness, roughness or flaking can last several days, with longer recovery after stronger settings. Your provider explains expected recovery and when to resume skincare, makeup and activities.
The number and spacing depend on your concern, settings and response. Changes can develop over weeks to months. Sun exposure and aging continue, so results vary and maintenance may be recommended rather than a permanent change.
Darker skin needs careful assessment because pigment changes are a risk. Melasma can worsen or recur with heat and sun exposure. Laser may form part of a wider treatment plan, but it is not a cure or suitable for everyone.
The choice depends on scar type and depth, your skin and recovery needs. Some shallow texture may improve with resurfacing; deeper scars may need a different or combined plan. Scars are not erased, and no one treatment is best for every scar.
MarSha MedSpa is self-pay. Your assessment guides the treatment plan and any personalized quotation. Call (919) 747-9733 or Contact Us to arrange your visit.
