Pigment Correction with Clarity II
Vascular lesions, dilated capillaries, and pigmentation are often the results of chronic sun exposure, age or medical conditions such as rosacea. When left untreated, these conditions can leave unsightly marks on the skin and can adversely affect your confidence and self-esteem. Clarity II is a highly developed new solution designed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and superficial blood vessels and correct uneven complexions.

At MarSha MedSpa our goal is to help you feel more comfortable in your skin. We perform Clarity II treatments to address damaged tissue and remove blemishes from affected areas. In our endless quest for safe and effective skincare techniques, this innovative device has helped patients see dramatic improvements to their skin tone and texture. Drawing on clinically proven technology, Clarity II allows those suffering from aesthetic skin problems to achieve a smoother texture, even skin tone and healthier, more radiant skin.
What is Pigment Correction with Clarity II Laser Facials?
Pigment Correction with Clarity II employs a non-invasive, light-based aesthetic device used to treat common skin conditions such as facial redness, rosacea, telangiectasia, lentigines, as well as overall photo-damage. Pigment Correction with Clarity II benefits for patients of all ages and skin types.
At MarSha MedSpa, we draw on the versatility of the Clarity II device to tailor treatment according to the needs and skin condition of each patient. Whether treating vascular lesions, broken capillaries or signs of sun damage, the procedure is designed to target the damaged tissue by harnessing light energy from a precise, narrowband spectrum. Since the delivery of light-based energy is gradual, controlled and supplemented by cool air blast, the procedure causes no damage to the surface skin as well as little discomfort and no downtime.
How Does Pigment Correction Work?
Pigment Correction work through a series of three filters and concentrates the light within a narrow range. During the procedure, controlled waves of pulsed light energy are delivered deep within the skin tissue to damage the vessels or pigmented spots. The resulting heat causes the blood to coagulate and the veins to collapse in on themselves, ultimately causing them to be reabsorbed by the body over time. Since the wavelengths only target the melanin in pigmented lesions or blood vessels, the surrounding skin remains intact, allowing for minimal discomfort and less downtime than most traditional methods. The Pigment Correction treatment also works to rejuvenate the skin by reducing discoloration, softening lines and targeting sun damage.

The Pigment Correction Procedure
At MarSha MedSpa we will begin by evaluating your skin to determine the most suitable approach to treatment. Once your condition, concerns, and skin sensitivity have been identified, we will cleanse your skin and place goggles over your eyes to protect the area during treatment. We will then apply a transparent cooling gel to the target area before beginning work on your skin. As the light energy penetrates the dermal layers, you may feel a slight burning sensation, but simultaneous blasts of Cryo will help cool immediately Depending on the extent of treatment required, the pigment correction procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
What to Expect After Treatment?
Immediately after the procedure, you may experience some redness or swelling, though most symptoms disappear within 24 hours. You may also feel a tingling or slight burning sensation for up to six hours after treatment, which can be alleviated with an ice or cold pack applied at 10-minute intervals. Within the first few days of the healing period, you may experience flaking of the skin, though this is generally normal and no reason for concern. It is essential to avoid sun exposure to the treated area for at least two days following treatment, after which a broad spectrum sunblock must be applied.
How Many Pigment Correction with Clarity II Sessions Will I Need?
At MarSha MedSpa, we generally recommend a series of two to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. This will vary depending on the individual needs and skin type of each patient, so we will work with you to determine the frequency and amount of sessions required to achieve your desired results. While you may see slight improvements after your initial treatment, the best results will accumulate after at least three sessions, as each pigment correction procedure will result in a gradual lightening of the target area. In addition to being a safe and minimally invasive treatment, many patients have reported remarkable and even life-changing results.
